PM Clean and Preserve

EV chargers operate outdoors in harsh environments — exposed to dust, road salt, pollen, pollution, extreme temperatures, and constant use. Over time, buildup restricts airflow, stresses cooling systems, damages screens, and accelerates cable degradation.

Protect the Investment. Maximize the Return.

Routine conditioning:

  • Prevents overheating and internal component strain
  • Reduces costly service calls
  • Extends equipment lifespan
  • Protects manufacturer warranty compliance
  • Improves driver confidence and site reviews

Visible neglect erodes driver confidence and suppresses utilization. Clean, well-maintained chargers signal reliability — and reliability drives utilization.

PM Inspect and Verify

EV chargers are high-voltage, high-utilization assets operating in demanding outdoor environments. Over time, vibration, temperature swings, moisture intrusion, cable strain, and heavy usage create hidden risks that are not visible to the casual observer.

ChargerPM inspection services are designed to identify early-stage failures before they result in downtime.

System Integrity Inspection Includes:

  • Detailed exterior enclosure and cabinet inspection
  • Cable strain and sheath condition assessment
  • Coupler pin and contact examination
  • Payment terminal functionality verification
  • Screen responsiveness and brightness testing
  • Emergency stop button check
  • Cooling airflow and vent inspection (exterior and filter bay)
  • Air filter condition assessment (filter-access door)
  • LED and indicator light verification
  • Network connectivity status confirmation
  • Pedestal stability and mounting integrity review
  • Error code identification and documentation

Why Inspection Matters

Most charger failures don't happen suddenly — they develop gradually.

Loose connections, restricted airflow, moisture intrusion, and cable degradation reduce performance long before a charger goes offline. Routine inspection allows corrective action before revenue is lost.

Inspection protects uptime.

PM Audit and Report

Field-Verified Documentation & Reporting

ChargerPM utilizes a secure, cloud-based field audit system to ensure every site visit is standardized, timestamped, and verifiable.

Our technicians follow a structured digital checklist built directly into our field audit system. During each visit, required photos are captured at every inspection point and submitted in real time from the field. Each image is automatically time-stamped and location-verified, creating a transparent record of when and where documentation occurred.

Secure cloud
Host dashboard

All audit data is securely uploaded to the cloud, organized by site and visit date, and made accessible to both ChargerPM management and the charging site host through a secure online dashboard. Every photo shows when it was taken and where, with its distance from the charger's location, so hosts can confirm each visit happened on site. Hosts receive organized visit documentation and reporting following every service cycle.

Why Audit Reporting Matters

EV charging infrastructure requires more than service — it requires verifiable field validation.

Whether managing compliance requirements, validating vendor performance, or protecting a significant capital investment, ChargerPM provides a lasting, verifiable record of charger condition and preventative care.

Every visit follows the same documentation standard — across every site, every technician, every time.

No guesswork.

No undocumented visits.

Just verified performance and accountability.

PM Frequently Asked Questions

Do ChargerPM technicians repair chargers?

No. ChargerPM is a preventative maintenance service. Our technicians clean, inspect, test, and document. When a visit finds an issue that needs certified electrical or electronics service, we report it to you and refer it to a qualified service provider in our network. Repairs are quoted separately.

Do your technicians open the charger?

Only the filter-access doors on DC Fast units, to inspect, clean, or replace air filters. Our technicians never open a charger's high-voltage power or electronics compartment.

Which charger brands do you service?

We maintain Level 2 and DC Fast chargers from most major manufacturers. List your brands in the proposal form, or choose "Other / not sure" and we'll confirm them during the site review.

How often should my chargers be serviced?

It depends on utilization, location, and exposure. Our recommended starting schedule is quarterly for most public Level 2 sites and monthly for most public DC Fast sites. We'll recommend a schedule for each site in your proposal.

What do I receive after each visit?

A service report with time-stamped, location-tagged photos of every inspection point, plus any issues found and our recommended next steps.

I already have a manufacturer service agreement. Do I still need ChargerPM?

Many manufacturer agreements cover parts and repairs but not routine cleaning, inspection, and site documentation. ChargerPM fills that gap. Tell us about your current agreement in the proposal form and we'll explain how the two fit together.

Does a higher visit frequency guarantee uptime?

No. Our packages are defined by the number of scheduled visits. More frequent visits catch problems earlier, but charger uptime also depends on hardware, network, and utility factors outside our control.
